Where I eat roses and "Mandy" won't stop playing
I dreamed someone was sending either me or Elizabeth (it was never entirely clear) roses, but every time I got them, I ate them. They were pretty bitter and pretty disgusting. About halfway through one of them I realized it was probably poisonous and tried to spit it back out, but I'd swallowed most of it by then.
Then a group of people and I were all in a car, listening to something from Wicked on the radio. Suddenly it switched to "Mandy" by Barry Manilow. Every station we changed it to, it just kept playing "Mandy." Then I woke up and discovered that my dad really was playing that song in the other room.

Where I go to the Halloween service
I had a dream it was Halloween and I went to a Catholic chapel. The priest was being completely nonsensical and generally not being any help at all, and I was desperately trying to find someone to actually run the service. Then I saw Dani, who was sitting in this pink frilly dress (very much like Glinda's "Popular" dress) and was chanting some Latin words. I was quite relieved that there was somebody who knew what they were doing, and I was able to just sit back and enjoy the Halloween service.

Where B'qi and Sarah M and I go to a boring youth lock-in
I dreamed there was this huge lock-in at the church. B'qi and her sister Sarah were both there, but I kinda left Sarah on her own. It was the most boring thing in the entire world. They had set up rows and rows of computers in the gym and just had people play on those. In Paula's office there were more computers and Lauren S. was teaching people how to do weird stuff on them. At one point B'qi and I went into a room with the computers and I tried so hard to find one that was free but for some reason B'qi and I couldn't get a computer next to each other. These Indian dudes kept taking the computers right next to B'qi.
At one point Sarah came up to me and asked how long she had to stay there. I told her I thought it ended at 12, but then noticed to my dismay that it was only 9:00 instead of 11:45 like I thought. B'qi and I walked off to see if Mom, who was there with us, drove on her own or rode in the church van, cuz if she drove on her own we could get a ride back earlier. While we were trying to find her, however, all we found were these people playing a video game and this very distressing image of a mother carrying around her daughter who had no legs. She didn't even have real prosthetic legs, just these weird metal things. This woman sat down next to my mother and said something about Elphaba.
There was another link to Elphaba, too. I had been playing "Wicked" on the youth group's jukebox but Sarah J. just gave me this weird look and switched it to something else and then I felt horribly bad for playing non-Christian stuff at a Christian retreat.
There was also a part where B'qi and I wandered out behind the church and I was discussing some lyrics I'd just discovered in POTO and how stupid they were. It was a reprise of "Angel of Music" sung between Christine and Meg at the very end, and one of Meg's lyrics was something like, "Christine, you're talking in riddles, now come look at the loons" which is indeed a pretty stupid lyric.
And there were these guys who were trying to start a gang or something and get everybody fighting, so they were prank calling some guys to try to get them to come over and attack their houses, except it wasn't really a prank call, they just called them up and insulted them. The telephones they used looked like old video arcade games. The guys they were insulted kept yelling, "YOU WERE THE ONE WHO LET OUR PIGS OUT!" and once when they said it, a bunch of pigs came jumping out of the arcade games into the gym and started running around. Weird.
Later on in the evening, I was standing around listening to the music (which was still "Wicked", actually), and Canaan came up and asked me if I wanted to dance. I'm thinking, "Erm, it's a youth group retreat. It's probably against the youth group rules." So I said, "I'm not allowed to, and I don't know how," and then laughed because apparently that was a line from a movie. Canaan said, "Oh, it's okay, no one'll notice, and I'll teach you." So he took out this PAMPHLET of how to do all these different ballroom dances and started going over it with me in detail, except he wasn't content to stick with one dance, oh, no, he was like, "Okay, we'll do one step of the waltz, then we'll do one step of the tango, then the polka, and then the fiddle-dee-dee," and I was just getting very confused, as I had no idea what was going on. I kept thinking, "Can't I just learn one dance and then practice that one for a while?"

Where I watch a bootleg of "La Vie Boheme"
I dreamed I found this site online that had full video performances of all these songs from RENT, so for some reason the first one I open up is "La Vie Boheme", which looks nothing like I've imagined. (Never seen the show live so it's all left up to my imagination basically, heh...) Mark looks pretty typically Mark-ish but he's like whirling around with a baton in his hand instead of standing on the table like he's supposed to... and I think Idina's there as well, but as Elphaba, not as Maureen... and somewhere along the way there was a Christmas tree that everybody danced around...

Where I go bowling, do VBS, date a guy who sings "Dancing Through Life" but won't help Dad carry the Christmas ornaments
I had a very, very long, weird dream... I'll recount as much of it as I can.
I was at some sort of youth function, as a student. It was sort of like a missions trip, it was week-long, except it was held at the church. And we'd alternate where we went every day. Half the days we'd stay at the church and do something fun, the other half we'd go out and minister to people. Except for some reason I only ended up doing the fun stuff, and they decided to go bowling. (So much for staying at the church.) We drove out to this deserted road, in a big van, and for some reason Kim C. was following us in her car. We stopped on the deserted road, got out, and talked for while with Kim by the side of the road.
Next thing I know, we're at the bowling place, except it's not bowling anymore, it's laser tag, and Shannon from Green Bay is running it. I remember Stefanie being there and for some reason I was all worried she wouldn't have any fun there.
And then... I'm back at the church, helping with a VBS thing. The kids are having their Bible lesson and I, as apparently the only leader, am sitting on a blanket on the floor in the fellowship hall. The kids are all lined up neatly, reading this little book that was given to them. Suddenly this girl pipes up, apparently reading from the book, "LAMIDO means Hannah. And GLECKL means Crystal." She had found a list of names translated into other languages. So I was like, "Crystal - I take it your name's Crystal?" She nodded. "Why don't you not read until snack time?" Then I notice the snack coordinators laying out the napkins and cookies and stuff. "Which, I guess, is in like 30 seconds. So you can go eat." And the kids all jump up and go eat.
I'm still sitting there on my blanket when some guy walks up to me (I can't see who it is), sits down next to me and says, "Would you like to hear the story of my life?" and belts into song about how he went to college but he doesn't believe it in anymore... (Heh, I'm thinking along the lines of "Dancing Through Life" *grin*)
Apparently he really charmed me with this weird song, because in the next scene, it's Christmas and this guy and I are dating (as IF). I bring him over to my house to meet my parents, who are setting up a Christmas tree outside. (Hmm.) Dad's bringing down a huge box of ornaments from the attic, but my very rude bf just stands there, not helping Dad, who is dragging the box down the stairs and singing very loudly. My bf starts tapping his feet in time to the music, although the whole time he's got this blank stare on his face. Apparently he gets the idea that it might be good to help Dad with the box, and picks the other end up, still marching his feet in time to the music. Dad looks at him and proclaims, "You're supposed to RANT! And RAVE!"
Then there's this sequence with two other bfs doing this, my bringing them home to meet my parents and the tree decorating and the guys behaving very rudely... heh... I guess apparently I boot 'em out after that, because it's always a new guy.
Now if THAT dream has a meaning, I'm not sure I want to know what it is...

Where I missed Wicked because Dad was working on his laptop
I dreamed that Dad and I were in NYC and we had purchased $70 tickets for Wicked. The show started at 7:30, but Dad was working on his laptop until 9:00. Then I realized we were late and told him and he was like, "Oh, I forgot," and I yelled at him (I felt bad though because I forgot too...).
Then at some point Karrissa was a DJ on a showtunes station and Tyler and Amanda were doing the Energizer to the tune of one of the songs she was playing on there...
