Where I'm trying to get to Travis's graduation party
I had an extremely complicated dream that mostly revolved around trying to make it to Travis's graduation party. One time it turned into an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. All these birds started dying in the air and just dropping to the ground. Then dead sheep and bugs dropped from the sky. A flea bit some supporting character who doesn't exist in the real show, and it sucked ALL his blood from his face, and he turned brown and looked like he was made out of crumbly marble. He was still alive, but he wasn't able to talk or really do anything with his face. And Buffy was acting totally weird and licking things and being no help at all.

Then Dad and Uncle Andy and I were walking through a shop and I realized it was a Buffy-themed shop. I thought, "I should totally get Travis something from here! He's such a Buffy fan!" (Which he's not.)

Then I was driving my dad to Sauk, when I realized I really needed to get to that party. I drove what I thought would be the way there, but I ended up going over a little river in a ferry and ending up in a little amusement park on an island. Mom was there, and Dad said he'd just ride to school with her, so I could make it to my party.

I ran back over the river which really wasn't all that deep, and ran up the stairs, where I gave a little ticket to the blind ticket collector, who was just sprawled out on the stairs leading up to the land. He was blocking half the stairway but was just taking tickets from there. I also talked to a little girl while I was trying to get to my car, but I don't know what happened there.

I drove until I found myself at a steakhouse. I went in and there were a bunch of people I knew, including a guy who I thought was Travis until I looked a little closer. Beth A. and Tyler were both there as well, and they told me I should hang out with them for awhile. But I knew I really needed to get to Travis's party and only had like a half hour left. So I inexplicably sang them a song about how I'd be back in like 15 minutes.

When I went outside, I couldn't find my car. I looked for it everywhere in the parking lot but couldn't find it. Then I realized the crew from inside would probably try to sabotage my car because I was leaving them. I looked and, sure enough, they were siphoning gas out of a red car. I chased them off and then realized they'd gotten the wrong car anyway, my car was right behind that one.

I got in it and started to drive but couldn't figure out how to make it to Travis's from here. Suddenly I was driving using a steering wheel in the back seat of the van, with people smooshed all around me, including Lococo. Joel and Elizabeth were in the seats ahead of me and I was getting very frustrated that I couldn't see over their heads as to where I was going. They kept yelling, "Turn here!" and I'd try to turn but then they'd yell, "NOT THERE!"

Where I let the kids watch an evil movie
I dreamed I had some extremely gory slasher movie on my laptop and decided to let the kids watch it, except halfway through I decided it was a bad idea, so I turned it off. Then I felt stupid for letting the kids watch it, so I made them promise not to tell Mom and Dad.

With my stalker and the sad little boy
I dreamed I was running up this hill with two little kids and a guy who I didn't recognize. The little boy was sad because his mom had just died, and he was running home to his father. I looked up to see if I could figure out who the guy was, and then it turned out to be my stalker, except he had blue hair and his last name was apparently Blood. He tried to entertain the kids by spelling his last name for them. "B-L-O-O-D! B-L-O-O-D! Blood! Blood!"

Then we all slid down this tunnel and ended up in the little boy's room. He seemed awfully sad, so I started humming "It Sucks To Be Me" ('cause, er, yes, that'll help) and then asked the little boy if he still had the mix CD I made him, because it was a feel-good CD. He said yes, but put on one of my URLSCDs instead.

Most of my younger siblings were there then, and my stalker yelled, "Hey, watch this!" and JUMPED into this giant hole in the kid's floor. Elizabeth looked up at me and asked me if that was safe, and I said, yes, you just landed in Spy Kids. (Whatever THAT meant.) So all the kids decided to jump in, too.

Where I eat roses and "Mandy" won't stop playing
I dreamed someone was sending either me or Elizabeth (it was never entirely clear) roses, but every time I got them, I ate them. They were pretty bitter and pretty disgusting. About halfway through one of them I realized it was probably poisonous and tried to spit it back out, but I'd swallowed most of it by then.

Then a group of people and I were all in a car, listening to something from Wicked on the radio. Suddenly it switched to "Mandy" by Barry Manilow. Every station we changed it to, it just kept playing "Mandy." Then I woke up and discovered that my dad really was playing that song in the other room.

Where Elizabeth goes schizophrenic
I dreamed a very long creepy dream, but I remember one specific point where I was standing in the back bathroom with Elizabeth, who kept hearing voices in her head. I was trying to talk to her, to get her to calm down and realize that none of these people were real, but she just kept screaming and covering her ears.

Where Elizabeth gets kicked out and I work at Extreme Faith
I had a very long dream where LOTS of stuff happened. Here's what I can remember.

Elizabeth, Bekah, and I were coming out of the store with bags of groceries and putting them in our car, which was parked in an alley behind the store. Mom was still in the store, Dad was fixing something in the alley behind the car. Elizabeth got behind the wheel. I warned her not to touch it, but she drove like four feet forward. I yelled at her, "You KNOW better than to try driving!!! You know you're not allowed to do that!" She replied, "Okay, I'll fix it," and drove four feet backward, except she went a bit crooked and drove over Dad's thumb. I began yelling, "ELIZABETH!! You drove over Dad's thumb!" Dad must have gone slightly nuts from the pain or something, because he then proceeded to stand up and smash his head through the wall of the building next to us. The wall wasn't very sturdy, it was pretty much just plaster, but still . . . he smashed his head through a wall.

Mom came out and we went home, where, needless to say, Dad wasn't doing very well. He was in more medical trouble from the smashing of his head through a wall than his thumb being run over by a car. Our solution was very simple. We cut a hole in our own house wall and had him sit there with his head in the hole. At one point I walked by and he pulled his head out and said, "I think it's working, I feel less dizzy now!"

As for Elizabeth, we decided it would be best if she moved out since she had caused the family so much pain, so she packed up her bag and took a train off somewhere.

While we were saying goodbye to her, Nathan's friend's little sister Allison (what a complicated connection) showed up and said, "You can come to my house for dinner." I followed her through all sorts of back roads. Eventually we came to several gardens. Next to one of them was an arbor, which was where we had to go. Allison leaped over the gardens and made sure to land her feet in two holes by the arbor. "You have to put your feet in the holes," she instructed me. I did my best and somehow did manage to leap over the gardens and land in the holes.

We traveled for a bit more and then arrived at her house, where we entered by the window. Right under their window was their sink. Allison wandered in to ask her mom if I could stay for dinner, while I decided to sit in the sink. (I didn't want to come all the way into the house until I knew if I was welcome.) This was an unfortunate position for me, however, because right next to the sink was the dinner table with all sorts of piping hot dishes on it, and sitting in the sink meant I was dangling my feet over the food. I kept worrying dirt from my shoes would slip off into their spinach.

I was welcome to dinner, and we ate, Allison and her mother and me and a few of the girls from my middle school Sunday school class and an old man. After dinner, we went out to the back yard and went swinging. The old man started talking about a movie he'd seen that was complete trash. It was apparently a finding-treasure-in-the-desert type movie, except he said the only funny part was "when the heroes were trying to hide and had to hide in a parade for a chicken suit."

The scene changed and I was now in that same situation as the movie heroes. (But I wasn't in a movie.) It was nighttime and there was a string of cars and people marching along in front of this giant in a chicken suit, or maybe a giant walking chicken suit, I'm not sure. There was a yellow car riding along next to the parade, and my Sunday school girls and I tried to reach the car so we could escape, but we were always just behind it. Since we couldn't reach it, we decided on an alternative - we would instead all lie down in the street, grab onto the ankles of the person in front of us, and have the person at the very front do the army crawl forward, pulling the group with them.

Next thing I know, it's the end of the Extreme Faith retreat. I've been working with the middle school girls (although the guys are there as well) and Ashi is at the host homes setting up a bunch of tables. Most of them are ministry-related tables where they can sign up to work on a ministry team or some such thing. There's also a table where they can talk to a counselor if they want to. Ashi asks me to man the "Quantum Leap" table. I said, "Isn't a quantum leap where the particles jump from orbit to orbit without being anywhere between?" He said, "Exactly." I said, "Well, I don't know much about physics, I don't know that I'm the best person to man that table." He replied, "Oh, don't worry, it's just where people can find out what a quantum leap is."

I guess I defy him or something, because I don't go to the Quantum Leap table, I go to the counselor table which already has two people sitting at it, but it looks like there's room for more. While I'm sitting there, Kaci H. (who is the host for this event) walks by and drops a pink note next to me. I pick it up and attempt to read it, but it's written in text talk, badly misspelled, badly hand-written and is overall very difficult to decipher. I managed to pick out the first few words: "Hannah - u r so aw3sum! U r lik3 H4m4n!!! 2g3th4 w3 c4n m4k3 this youth thing wrk!!!!!!" with like a billion smiley faces in there. Which is all very nice and pleasant, except for "You are like Haman". I'm not sure that's at all a compliment.

At another point in the dream, my father got a tape of ancient Arabic music from Jeff K. I look at the tape and it turns out Jeff gave it to him because the tom-tom player or someone has the exact same name as Canaan (first and last). Canaan is not a common first name and his last name is not a common last name (at least not a comment spelling of it), so I'm definitely surprised. I try to point this amazing coincidence out to my father, however, and his response is something like, "Oh. Exciting." I kept trying to point out how the chances of this were probably quite, quite small, but he still didn't get it.

Where Dad tries to kill me
I dreamed Dad and the family were playing some sort of game where Dad would try to kill meand I'd try to find it out and stop it before it happened. I was boasting to Dad about how I was sure to beat him, but he just smiled and said, "Not in time, you won't." And so I ate some mints and drank some Kool-Aid and set out to find his trap (although I didn't really set out, I just stayed in my room the whole time). One of them was Bethany sawing at a ceiling fan to get it to crash down on my head, but it really wasn't anywhere near my head so it wasn't going to work. Obviously that wasn't Dad's plan. Then I saw that Elizabeth was unscrewing the hinges of a door which WAS right by my head, and that door was going to crash down on me and squash me. I pushed her out of the way and screwed the hinges back in, and then turned to Dad and smiled and said, "I figured it out! It was Elizabeth's door!"

He just smiled and said, "No. Actually, it was the mints and Kool-Aid you ate and drank fifteen minutes ago."

I realized with horror that all the time I'd wasted trying to find the way he was trying to kill me had just given time for the poison to get into my system. Dad started laughing a very evil laugh and I tried to run downstairs so I could get to the hospital, but I was starting to feel the effects of the poison and couldn't get very far.

Where I get left at an ApologetiX concert
I dreamed that a large group of people from our church were going to that ApologetiX concert I went to last week (except it was in a completely different auditorium). It was me and my sisters, Mom and Dad, PJ and Dacia, Emily A., Sammy E., Pastor & Jane (yeah, totally their kind of music... NOT!) and Marissa from my Spanish class, and possibly others.

I was sitting in the very front row with Emily, Sammy, and Marissa. At one point Emily started talking and I kept trying to shut her up cuz I wanted to hear what was going on. There was a woman onstage (she looked like this storyteller that taught a workshop at our local library) and she could hear what Emily was saying, and she turned and snapped, "Hush! You're a disgrace to the people of [my town]!" Which was an odd thing to say, seeing as how Emily doesn't even LIVE in my town.

So from then on Emily just whispered, but apparently she was right in front of a mic or something, cuz the band could hear her onstage. After one of the songs, Karl looks at her and goes, "YOU DESERVE TO HAVE YOUR EYES GOUGED OUT!" and I was like "Whoa, Emily, what did you SAY!?" but she wouldn't tell me.

The concert ended and I just hung around with the band for awhile (they kept making fun of me because I was walking weird... I really WAS walking weird, I would have made fun of myself as well) and suddenly I realize that the rest of my group has left. I ask where the phones are but then realize I can't call home, they JUST left and it's at least an hour's drive home. So in an hour I'll call them and wait around an hour for them to come pick me up. I keep looking around for someone I know who can maybe take me home, but don't see anyone.

I decide to stay for the evening church service. One of the ladies tells me, "Oh, yes, we have a very evolutionary church." So I'm sitting in a pew, waiting for the service to start, when Bethany wanders in crying. I say, "Oh, they left you behind too?" and she nods, so I invite her to sit with me until it's time for us to call them. Then Bekah and Elizabeth wander in crying, and I think, "My word, they left EVERYONE behind!"

The church service was pretty freaky. This dude in a suit stood up and crouched over the podium and looked menacing while the words "Listen To Thee, O My Lord" were put up on a screen. (Which doesn't even make SENSE.) I think the dude might have read a psalm, but it really wasn't much of a service.

Where I eat ham in a water bottle
I dreamed Elizabeth and Bethany and I were all eating chicken and watching The Adventures of Robin Hood. Then Elizabeth gave us this ham and it was really yummy. I tried to get some more, but she had stuck it into a water bottle (with water in it) - to keep it "fresh" or something. I asked Elizabeth where she got it and she said it was Maid Marian. Ick.

Where Mom says "TRAMPLE THEM!"
I dreamed that there was a white egg sack hanging above my head. Elizabeth kept poking it and Mom kept telling her not to, but she KEPT poking it and finally she grabbed it out of the air (how she reached up that high, I'm not sure) and started running around with it. Mom got really ticked and told her to drop it, so she did, and it opened and all these tiny spiders came running out. Mom started screaming, "TRAMPLE THEM! TRAMPLE THEM!" so we started to trample them but suddenly realized they weren't spiders at all, but little babies, and one of them decided to propose to B'qi who was...erm, suddenly there.
