Where I let the kids watch an evil movie
I dreamed I had some extremely gory slasher movie on my laptop and decided to let the kids watch it, except halfway through I decided it was a bad idea, so I turned it off. Then I felt stupid for letting the kids watch it, so I made them promise not to tell Mom and Dad.

Where Anna W. is rude to me
I dreamed Caitlin came over to my house for a movie night, but she brought Anna W with her. Okay, cool, I thought to myself. But Anna immediately started in on me and called me all sorts of nasty things. I tried to be polite back to her. Finally she said she had to leave, she didn't want to stay for this stupid party anyway. Caitlin seemed completely oblivious to this whole thing. Bethany was downstairs and as Anna was leaving, Bethany whispered to me, "Boy, aren't you glad she's gone!"

Where I singlehandedly ruin Jen's wedding
I dreamed that it was Jen and Evan's wedding again, except I was supposed to be a bridesmaid. I showed up at the church on the day of the wedding, and someone gave me my bridesmaid's dress. It looked exactly like the dress Felicity wears on the cover of the book Felicity's Surprise. The blue thing.

I went off to the bathroom to put it on. I still had my giant broken-foot boot on, and for some reason I kept taking the boot off and putting it back on, trying to get it to look okay. I heard the opening music playing in the sanctuary, and muttered to Bethany, who was around somewhere, "Oh, great! I'm NEVER going to get over there in time!" Suddenly the music stopped and I heard Evan say, really ticked-sounding, "Stop the music. Someone's late." Then, a moment later, Mr. P knocked on the bathroom door and when I said he could come in (I was just about ready), he opened the door and snarled at me, "Sheesh, hurry up, will you?"

For some reason Jen and her attendants weren't walking down the aisle, they were coming out of the rooms behind the stage, so when I was finished I walked down the aisle and into the back room, where Jen was crying because her wedding had been messed up. I started crying too because I felt so bad, and kept going, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," and then said, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been part of this, I'll just go" and was about to take off, but Jen said, "No, now that you're here we might as well go through with this."

So the entire wedding started all over again. Jen went out first, and then the attendants were supposed to follow her, one at a time...except this time the girl AHEAD of me had trouble with her dress and wasn't going out on time. I thought, "Okay, I'll give her some extra time and I'll go out first." Except somehow I ended up walking up the stairs and then back down through the baptistry, and as I walked out I noticed that the other bridesmaid had gotten her stuff figured out and was also walking out of the stage door. Jen looked up at me and I knew that she was going to start crying again because I had ruined her wedding AGAIN.

There was also a portion of the dream where I was at SEMP and called my dad up and apparently Simon from American Idol had been hanging out with my dad a lot while I was gone. And I went to go visit my friend Laura from school, but instead I met her mom and younger sister, who looked EXACTLY like her. It was creepy.

Where Dad dies in the hospital
I dreamed that there had been news of Stephen and Libby's father being very sick, close to dying. Nathan and Bethany and I were in the den with Dad, talking, when Mom got a phone call. We were all chatting, and Dad shushed us to listen to what Mom was saying. Mom said something to us that I couldn't hear, and she began to cry. I stood up and walked over to her and asked what she had said, and she yelled at me, frustrated, "MY HUSBAND IS DEAD!" And I realized with a shocking certainty that it was MY father who had been sick in the hospital and was now dead.

With the haunted house and joining the choir
I dreamed some friends and I were in some sort of haunted house. I'm not sure if it was really haunted or not, though - strange things definitely kept happening. I only vaguely remember the whole thing. Then I was in this tiny little church which was apparently our church, and Bethany and I wanted to join the choir. We just wandered into the church and sat in the choir benches with a bunch of people we didn't know.

Where Dad tries to kill me
I dreamed Dad and the family were playing some sort of game where Dad would try to kill meand I'd try to find it out and stop it before it happened. I was boasting to Dad about how I was sure to beat him, but he just smiled and said, "Not in time, you won't." And so I ate some mints and drank some Kool-Aid and set out to find his trap (although I didn't really set out, I just stayed in my room the whole time). One of them was Bethany sawing at a ceiling fan to get it to crash down on my head, but it really wasn't anywhere near my head so it wasn't going to work. Obviously that wasn't Dad's plan. Then I saw that Elizabeth was unscrewing the hinges of a door which WAS right by my head, and that door was going to crash down on me and squash me. I pushed her out of the way and screwed the hinges back in, and then turned to Dad and smiled and said, "I figured it out! It was Elizabeth's door!"

He just smiled and said, "No. Actually, it was the mints and Kool-Aid you ate and drank fifteen minutes ago."

I realized with horror that all the time I'd wasted trying to find the way he was trying to kill me had just given time for the poison to get into my system. Dad started laughing a very evil laugh and I tried to run downstairs so I could get to the hospital, but I was starting to feel the effects of the poison and couldn't get very far.

Where I get left at an ApologetiX concert
I dreamed that a large group of people from our church were going to that ApologetiX concert I went to last week (except it was in a completely different auditorium). It was me and my sisters, Mom and Dad, PJ and Dacia, Emily A., Sammy E., Pastor & Jane (yeah, totally their kind of music... NOT!) and Marissa from my Spanish class, and possibly others.

I was sitting in the very front row with Emily, Sammy, and Marissa. At one point Emily started talking and I kept trying to shut her up cuz I wanted to hear what was going on. There was a woman onstage (she looked like this storyteller that taught a workshop at our local library) and she could hear what Emily was saying, and she turned and snapped, "Hush! You're a disgrace to the people of [my town]!" Which was an odd thing to say, seeing as how Emily doesn't even LIVE in my town.

So from then on Emily just whispered, but apparently she was right in front of a mic or something, cuz the band could hear her onstage. After one of the songs, Karl looks at her and goes, "YOU DESERVE TO HAVE YOUR EYES GOUGED OUT!" and I was like "Whoa, Emily, what did you SAY!?" but she wouldn't tell me.

The concert ended and I just hung around with the band for awhile (they kept making fun of me because I was walking weird... I really WAS walking weird, I would have made fun of myself as well) and suddenly I realize that the rest of my group has left. I ask where the phones are but then realize I can't call home, they JUST left and it's at least an hour's drive home. So in an hour I'll call them and wait around an hour for them to come pick me up. I keep looking around for someone I know who can maybe take me home, but don't see anyone.

I decide to stay for the evening church service. One of the ladies tells me, "Oh, yes, we have a very evolutionary church." So I'm sitting in a pew, waiting for the service to start, when Bethany wanders in crying. I say, "Oh, they left you behind too?" and she nods, so I invite her to sit with me until it's time for us to call them. Then Bekah and Elizabeth wander in crying, and I think, "My word, they left EVERYONE behind!"

The church service was pretty freaky. This dude in a suit stood up and crouched over the podium and looked menacing while the words "Listen To Thee, O My Lord" were put up on a screen. (Which doesn't even make SENSE.) I think the dude might have read a psalm, but it really wasn't much of a service.

Where PJ reads my prayer journal
I dreamed a long dream where we were at a hotel with a lot of people, including my family, Nich and Jayme (no Andie, though, I wonder where she went?), a maid, and a psychopath. The psychopath was murdered, and then I found the maid leaning over this giant hole that went to nowhere. She looked up and I could see in her eyes that she wanted me to push her into the hole, so I did, and then wrote about it in my journal, which was making me a bit worried that I'd killed her.

At one point we were trying to get my family back into the van, and my mom had this ultra-cool neon sign that reported how many people were NOT in our van. It'd count down from 10 to 0, and when it was at 0 that meant everyone was in and we could go. So me, Bethany, and Mom were in a large group of people and then finally saw the sign at 3, so we went and drove off in the van.

Next thing I know, I'm at youth group, chatting with a bunch of people, and PJ comes up and drops my prayer journal in my lap. I'm surprised and ask him where the heck he got it, and am told that it's now a requirement to be a youth leader that PJ read any prayer journals we've kept over the past year or so. He then proceeds to say very loudly in front of the entire youth group that I can't be a youth leader, my entries are too depressing and I obviously don't have the joy of the Lord. He also makes some comment like, "And like 3/4 of it are about... MUCHACHOS!" (Which is very not true of my real prayer journal. Heh. My journal entries are generally stuff about me spiritually or friends.)

He also protested to the fact that the first half of it *wasn't* a prayer journal 'cause I used a used notebook. Apparently I had like Betty Crocker recipes in the first half of it. He's flipping through the pages saying, "And, yeah, see, see, I didn't like all this Betty Crocker stuff!"

Where I eat ham in a water bottle
I dreamed Elizabeth and Bethany and I were all eating chicken and watching The Adventures of Robin Hood. Then Elizabeth gave us this ham and it was really yummy. I tried to get some more, but she had stuck it into a water bottle (with water in it) - to keep it "fresh" or something. I asked Elizabeth where she got it and she said it was Maid Marian. Ick.

Where I go to Gabon but Sarah is in my Spanish class with a new baby sister
I dreamed that me, my mom, and Bethany, decided to drop into Gabon unexpectedly to give Sarah L. a surprise visit. We walked into their house and it was like... a three-room house. They had a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom. The interior was really dark, and there was a couch up against the wall. The sun was shining in my eyes and all I could see were silhouettes ("and all you hear are castanets..." but not in the dream) except then I saw this old guy and blond girl sitting on the couch. Mrs. L. called from the kitchen to say she'd be in a minute, she was doing the dishes. I kept looking for Sarah, but I didn't see her, so I went over to introduce myself to the blond girl. (It wasn't Naomi, though, this girl was like 18 or so.)

"Hannah M.," I said.

"Victoria," she responded.

"How old are you?"

And she gave some long weird explanation about how I think she was almost 18, but she didn't just say "I'm almost 18," she spent like ten minutes explaining it.

And then the old guy jumps in. "My wife and me saw Vicky sitting on a bench in this train station and we couldn't just let her SIT there, so we adopted her." (Note, I'm nearly sure this came from my watching Importance of Being Earnest last night, where one of the heroes was found as a baby in a handbag in Victoria Station.)

Then next thing I know, I've tracked Sarah down. She's at school, in Spanish class (erm... well in MY school and MY Spanish class actually), and she's being exceptionally loud and disruptive. She can't remember a word, so she just goes, "Algo, algo, algo, algo, algo!" (Translation: "Something, something, something, something, something!")

And then she said something about "el primer ano" (the first year) and one of the guys she was with pipes up, "Is it true that if you say 'primer' real fast, it means bodily fluids?" (?!?) and Sarah starts cracking up laughing and goes, "I pulled a pabritzo from my nose this morning!" and everyone cracks up more and I'm totally confused.

Then we're all sitting down in the class, except Naomi is there too (with long brown hair, I might add) and Sarah's baby baby sister (who doesn't exist in RL) is lying on the table. This baby is like... probably four or five months old. She's just lying there, not moving around or anything, just looking around.

Then, out of the blue, she turns to me and says, "Hi." So I respond with "Hi." From then on the exchange goes like this: "Hi." "Hi." "Hi hi." "Hi hi." "Hi hi hi hi hi." "Hi hi hi hi hi." "Hi." "Hi." "Brothersisterllamachicken." At which time it occurs to me this baby is awfully young to be able to speak like that. So I ask Sarah how old she is. The baby answers (and she is now wearing glasses, too) with, "I'm TWO!"

Erm. Yes. Then I woke up.

Where Dad tells Bob to work for Bethany and I play a video game with a scary monster
I had this long, long, long dream that I remember some of... I dreamed I went up this short set of stairs to a table in a restaurant where my dad was sitting with three guys he apparently knew from a long time ago. Their names were Greg, Craig, and Bob (talk about generic guys' names!) Bob was blind, and had a sort of yellow-ish scar on his arm and kept saying that that was why he was blind. (I figured it was some sort of acid scar.) He was complaining that he was unemployed, and Dad promptly spoke up and said Bethany could offer him a job. Later on, when he told Bethany, she was irate, because she hadn't offered this guy a job, Dad had just decided on his own to offer it to the guy.

Then I was in this video game, playing from the character's point of view. This red and green monster kept showing up - it was sort of hunchbackish, all bent over... actually he looked sort of like a scaly Christmas-colored version of the Beast on Broadway... and I kept having to escape from him. I had little piles of notebooks lying around and if I read them they gave me hints. But I kept forgetting to read them, and my "sister" and "father" in the game would laugh at me because I was stupid and didn't get the hints.

At one point the hints told me to lure the monster into my bedroom and then run out, which I did. For some reason, the monster then passed out on the bed and I was supposed to close the door and lock it before he could get out. But it seemed to take me forever to close the door and as I was trying to lock it, the monster opened the door and just grinned at me. Very creepy...

Where I accidentally cut off Bethany's foot
I had a dream that I was with Bethany on the couch and she suddenly saw that our neighbor Mr. P. was outside in his garden and she was going to go talk to him. But I was bored so when she got up I just shoved her back down on the couch cuz I was being goofy. Then Mr. P. went back inside and Bethany burst into tears. I was like, "Sheesh, chill out, it's just Mr. P., you can talk to him whenever," and she was like, "No, my foot!" and she held out her right leg and the foot below the ankle was just...gone. Somehow I had cut off her foot while I shoved her on the couch.

Where Mom, Nathan, and Bethany try to kill a cockroach
I had a dream that Mom and I were cleaning up the boys' room (why? Who knows!) and Bethany walks in holding this bright orange bug in her hand and says, "Mom, is this cockroach dead?" and so Mom told Nathan to take a pair of pliers and throw the cockroach out the window. Then there were these little green bugs with antennae about a foot long and they turned out to be bees in green bug disguises.
